He is not a similar player to Lamela but I do question their reasons to go after him as they don't need a winger.

On a more serious note it does it raises concerns about the use of data analytics in recruitment. All the recruitment guys are looking at the same set of data from prozone or opta and are reaching the same conclusions.

Were all after the same profile / value / stats sets of players. We just need to move quicker.

I watched a pre-season game between Chelsea and Roma in Washington D.C. in which Lamela played. He was very lightweight, easily brushed off the ball, and did not stand out at all. Maybe I saw him on a bad day but I was surprised when Spurs paid 30 million for him.
