Made a mistake, it's not like everyone is perfect. At least he apologiesed and has acknowledged it.

His assistants could have helped out on this too.

Don't think there is much point in hauling him over the coals, don't see what good that would do.

Neither do I. He clearly didn't see the incident and i thought he indicated for a corner until the silent 4th official made him aware of a hand ball incident. A simple replay of the event would have sorted it out in a minute. I don't understand why football is so far behind in utilising this technology that's available.

Yep, it should at least raise the possibility of talking about it.

Rugby has it, but people do tend to complain it's overused, so there is obviously limits. Sendings off, and pen decisions should be fair enough though.

If that's the case limit the number of reviews like they do in cricket to 5 a game or so. It still would only take a minute to sort out. They might then even decide to stop the clock so you actually get the minutes you're suppose to for each half and stop Fergie time

if it got rid of both teams harrassing the ref then the linesman then each other it might actually be quicker

              BUMP

****ing disgraceful showing tonight. There should be a system in place like when you get points on your driving licence and can opt to take a speed awareness course. Only when they have a shocker like Mr Friend has is evening, he has to sit a refresher course and pass a test before they are able to ref another game

Atrocious refereeing today. It even pained him to give a yellow for a red card attempt.

Worst ref in the league by a distance. Never gives us anything either, imagine us looking to be given fouls for foul play!

The no free kick for Suarez in the second half.... How? Should have been FK or yellow for dive. There was nothing close to a legitimate tackle so he could not think it a fair attempt. Terrible performance from the ref

Very poor tonight, you get the distinct feeling he doesn't like Suarez and he allows it to cloud his judgement which isn't right at all.

And their deflected shot/cross that ended in a throw in to us ! Seriously, how did he not see the deflection? How is that even remotely possible?

oh yeah that too. Amazing decision. It was going towards goal and went out roughly level with where the cross was from!
