I think at least part of the problem is that we haven't changed how we play despite changing from Sturridge/Suarez to Ballotelli/Lambert based front lines. If Henderson and Lallana keep improving and making more runs in front of the forwards I think we'll see more from Lambert."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Robbie Keane cost us £20million though.Originally posted by Myo View PostLambert the new robbie Keane. .will try hard, sometimes too hard...But somehow will just not fit in...hopefully proved wrong end of season..but I doubt it...
Lambert cost us £4 and seems to be happy to sit on our bench.
Can't compare the transfers at all.

Also Keane didn't try that hard. It was like he practiced pulling horrendous faces in the mirror so he could emulate them after Rafa subbed him off after terrible performances. I think he was going for a combination of disgust, disappointment and surprise. What a horrible signing haha, at least Lambert acknowledges the reality of the situation and will get his head down and work hard to turn it around rather than moan to the media.

i think we would have been better off with Eto on a free transfer. Can come on and change a game as well and has a lot more to offer than Rickie Lambert. I know people would state that we need a plan B (an example being the closing stages of the Chelsea home game last season) but in reality how often are we going to deploy that? If things were that desperate, then throw Lovren / Skrtel up top to win the high balls into the box......
However, we are where we are. We have him in the squad and if he is happy enough to go on and be the guy that gets 10 mins here and there, to either help us snatch a draw / win or just to run down the clock or comes on for Sturridge / Balotelli when the game is already won, then fair enough.....
The fact that he just started to establish himself as an option for Wwoy Hodgson also is an issue though - if he genuinely thinks he has a chance of being in the england squad for Euro 2016, but doesnt get much game time with LFC, then what are the odds that he wants a move next summer to play football..... especially considering that Origi will also come into the squad then as well.....

that makes more sense. Commentator said Lambert on my stream. That was a great assist.
