Best non-Liverpool match you ever attended?

Mine was the 5-1 thrashing of Germany by England in the world-cup, totally awesome weekend all round.

Left on the Friday morning to Munich in a coach full of 50/50 English Germans, superb atmosphere, bladdered all weekend.

Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

Middlesbrough 3-3 Chesterfield in the 1997 FA Cup semi final at Old Trafford. Little Chesterfield robbed by that cunt Elleray.

    Or......

Sheffield Wednesday v Sheffield United in the 1993 FA Cup semi final at Wembley. Chris Waddle scored that ****ing epic free kick after about 2 minutes.

Wasn't that the Kevin Davies arrival? Great game right enough.

Lazio - Roma. Was in the Lazio end right next to the Curva Nord, Lazio won 3-0 and it was ****ing insane.

Got to the ground 2 hours before kick off and all we could hear was singing, firecrackers going off so was like lets go in, get in and both Curva's are ****ing packed already with loads more climbing over the glass to get in.

Only cost me £120 aswell, that was with a night in a quality hotel too. Wouldnt get change out of 120 for a day trip from Lime Street to West Ham here!

Gonna try and do Fener - Gala, Partizan - Red Star next season but some mates are being bad ****houses so I'll go on my own if they dont fancy it.

            Chelsea 3 Colchester 1

Nothing to do with the result of Chelsea winning. But it was a HUGE game for Colchester, total underdogs. I was in the Colchester end and when they went 1 up for a few minutes, I dont think I have ever experienced more passion and joy. Total euphoria. Then Mourinho brought on Lampard and Cole and ruined it.

Arrival? Well he was a young player - his first or second season - he'd had a good season and had a decent game. He was a winger in those days. Never would've imagined him back then going on to become a big lump of a centre forward.

He used to score solo run goals from the halfway line didnt he? Weird how he turned out!

Yep, did it three or four times. Once at Burnden Park v Bolton, also did it for Southampton at Goodison one Sunday. Slalomed past about 7 players. He was a lithe, skinny and quick winger. Then suddenly became a big strong ****house of a centre forward

What era was that? I'd love to go to one of those games any time but would've especially loved it in the Gascoigne era. ****in loved Gazza.

Well, when I say arrival, it was when he was brought to the general public's attention - he was excellent in that game. I remember a flurry of interest from higher profile clubs right after the game.

i'm really struggling to think of any games apart liverpool that i've been too....

er....one sticks out - when i reckon i was about 13/14 i went to watch Venezia vs Bari, in iirc Serie B when on holiday in venice - it was pretty mental experience as we got in for free and ended up seating with the Ultras - atmosphere was crazy, flares and fireworks and the game was like 5-3 to venice.

amazingly a season or two later, Tranmere rovers played Venezia in the Inter-toto cup so me and my dad went to prenton park to watch it.

i also remember venezia having a pretty cool black/green kit
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Yeah...he played right wing and ran that full back ragged.....he got sent off for fouling him constantly.......Vladimir Kinder

I went to the Barca v Espanol Super Cup final which was a 3-0 win for Barca. They had Messi on the bench! Sure he was 18 at the time, but still. That front three of Ronaldinho, Eto'o and Giuly were superb. Just brilliant mainly because I was in the Nou Camp, the noise was awesome and there were amazing footballers right in front of me.

Scarborough v Hartlepool in a maniacal 3-3 at the Victoria. It was blood and thunder. I was in the away end with a couple of mates not knowing what to expect, one of them being a Scarborough fan. Proper good laugh.
