The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

This was Blatter's first news conference since he announced his decision to step down from his role at the beginning of June amid the corruption scandal that has rocked world football's governing body.

Blatter said he would leave the room because "we have to clean here first."

"This has nothing to do with football," said Blatter, who returned within a few minutes and quipped about the incident.

"I just called my late mother and she said, 'Don't worry, it's just a lack of education,"' he said.
That rug really tied the room together.

FIFA reform task force to be headed by man who was IOC director general between 1989 and 2003... Ie.. When the Salt Lake City bribery allegations were ongoing. I'm sure he will fit in perfectly at FIFA.

You're one of those people who posts comments in the comments section of online articles aren't you. Go on, admit it.
                      Oh I don't know.

I try to avoid them to be honest. About as tolerable as YouTube comments section. On the subject of online comments sections the i had an article yesterday about Mains Online reaction to Nazi quotes in the comments sections. It was depressingly predictable.

                          No Corruption here,none at all
Sepp Blatter is under renewed pressure after it emerged he awarded World Cup television rights for a fraction of their true value to Jack Warner, on which the disgraced former Fifa executive then made an £11m profit.

The publication of a contract bearing the outgoing Fifa president’s signature draws him closer into the web of continuing investigations and further calls into question his links with Warner, who served on the executive committee of world football’s governing body for 28 years.

The man is made of teflon, more and more allegations seem to arise and none of them ever seem to stick.

Baffling tbh how the guy gets away with it.

More like someone who's over the years carefully got rid of any thing linking him to wrong doings and having someone else take the fall....You know he's guilty but nothing sticks to him unlike others.

Uefa president Michel Platini says he "might have told" United States officials he would vote for their 2022 World Cup bid before backing Qatar instead. (Guardian)
