So much **** going around on Twitter. These seem to be though from the same paper which is a bit worrying:
@barcastuff
Barcelona plan to make opening bid of "30M + 6-7M incentives + Alexis" for Liverpool's Luis Suarez. Clubs will talk in coming days. [sport]LFC Transfer News

Sport: Alexis Sanchez wants to stay at Barca but is open to a move to Arsenal. He has rejected an offer from #LFC.

Schneiderlin is the only Southampton player I'd be going for to be honest.Originally posted by Yozza View PostArsenal are set to sign Southampton's France midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, 24, as well as Chile and Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez, 25 - eliminating any chance Sanchez might be included in a deal for Liverpool forward Luis Suarez, 27. We won't get Sanchez, he's just found some great form in the World Cup as do many players (Diouf) but I won't lose sleep over it. I really don't think he's as good as people are making out. Before anyone jumps on this, I'm not saying that Sanchez isn't a good player, only that he's just not good enough to fill the hole left by Suarez.Last edited by tanner; 29-06-14, 01:30 PM.SakhoPotatoes

That is exactly the reason why I am not in favour of selling Luis period.Originally posted by Charly View PostIts not just his goals we will miss. Assists, workrate, skills, and allround genius. Plus the added excitement of what his next suspension will be for.
I get it is only matter time before he leaves but in footballing terms we should hold onto him as long as that is possible as we are much better team with him than without him.
Replacing him like for like is impossible and given our interest in some players I am not convinced they are right players to make up for his overall production.
Time will tell I suppose.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Wasn't James 40 odd million euros to Monaco?
Is this the one where they massively overpaid for him (at the time) to get hold if Moutinho because of the weird release clause thing.
After the world club he's having I reckon we'd probs end up paying around about £40m ourselves, I would not mind him though.
Him and Sanchez?
The times they are a changin'.

Not sure exactly what else you expected from that Rodgers post? As you clarified you meant attacking football generally rather than a specific system (as Rodgers has used lots) I'd love to know (a) why anyone would want a markedly different approach given how much we over performed expectations with it last year, and (b) how many top managers in world football successfully and regularly vary between generalised attacking and defensive styles? I can't think of any, all managers have their preferred approaches, within which they might make subtle alterations, but they rarely flip flop from one spectrum to another.Originally posted by ronanm View PostThink that's sarcasm but it appears to be the lowest form of intelligence too in this case so unsure y'know?
As an aside, quite a lot recently you've almost seemed to revel in taking a rather downbeat view of things at the club compared to most posters, and regarding our manager in particular. I'm curious whether there's a tangible reason for that?Last edited by MrMichael; 29-06-14, 02:18 PM.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
