Liverpool, albeit lived near Wigan from a toddlerOriginally posted by wiw View PostHang on, where are you from?
So my feelings about anywhere other than where I spent the majority of my life are entirely justified
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Depends on culture. Last place I'd want to go is an Australian pub. Well, maybe an Irish pub. It's a close call.Originally posted by EwarWoo View PostLast thing I'd want is to go somewhere with 27 English restaurants, your own cuisine is boring.
I think he really needs to come to us and avoid that crap.Oh I don't know.

Australian basically is English, very little differenceOriginally posted by dom9 View PostDepends on culture. Last place I'd want to go is an Australian pub. Well, maybe an Irish pub. It's a close call.
But you're missing my point, I wasn't slating English cuisine, I just think I grew up on it and cook it at home so would rather go out for something different.
I don't see 27 Chillean restaurants as a pull for him.
And besides, it was only a flippant remark

However, I'll add that Australian themed bars in this country are abominable in my experience.Oh I don't know.

I think that depends on how long you've been away from home. The longer you've been gone, the more you miss home comforts. Well that's what it's like for me anyway. The first 2 years or so I don't really miss things, and then after that I start to miss (or get excited when I see) things which are commonplace at home.
Considering Sanchez left Chile a long time ago, considering he's been playing in Argentina, Italy and Spain for as long as I've known about him; perhaps things like that would be a draw for him. I'm not sure, but regardless, I think he's the kind of guy who would make the move first for sporting and financial reasons. If he believes that our project represents a more attractive offer than Arsenal he'll join us, if not then not.

Haven't a ****ing clue how many Chilean restaurants there are in London but the point is that there are many concentrated areas of expats from almost everywhere in the globe. If it's about being made to feel you are near to people of your own nationality then London wins hands down
