I think it's just a very difficult position, to be top quality you have to have a good engine, positioning, tackle, reading of the game, crossing and or passing etc.

I think we'll never find a young fullback who has everything we need.

That said, if Bertand can be gotten for around 7 million as opposed to Moreno for 20 million, I think I'd rather spend the extra 13 on a high quality attacking player.

Isn't McLaughlin a right back? Or has he been switched to playing on the left on occasion to make him more flexible?

He looked okay for Villa against us, but that's about it ... 'okay'.

I hope this is just leakage to try and get Sevilla to accept £16m.

What about a sneaky move for Gael Clichy non?
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I'm uncomfortable with you using the word sneaky Slinks!

And nope, I'd pass on Clichy he's stagnated and will be being paid a small fortune at Citeh

Hmmm, there's a lot of undertones in what you've just said. How about narrowing your context?

For the reasons rcasemore has made.

Anyone think this is the club trying to scare Sevilla into action?
Same here but Flanno is not an answer for our LB problems.

Nor right back IMO but he's a very good squad player.

agree..... but a player that can fill in various positions and be happy to be part of the squad - play, say 30 - 45% of the games and not do a prima ****in donna on it - is invaluable. Every sucessful team has had players like that. Look at untied when they were good - the likes of John O'Shea, Wes Brown and Darren Fletcher, you wouldnt build your team around any of these cunts - but they were always ready to put in a 7.5 out of 10 against some ****e like WBA or Wigan..... and when you were fcuked with injuries or suspentions, these are the pricks you need - thinking they are as good as Vidic or Rooney because they share the same car park - they step up to the mark when you need them. But deep down, they know they are punching above their weight so they are so motivated to maintain they position in the squad - so they dont let their standards drop......

This could be flanno for us!!!

We have to trust Rodgers if this one happens. He's worked with him so must feel he can make him into a top player. He was a player of big promise when he first broke through. He could be another good player who's suffered at Chelsea, like Sturridge, and would flourish here. For a reasonable fee it could still be a good signing.

He'd also worked with Borini before, I trust Rodgers 100% on the field and getting the most out of the team but he hasn't earned outright trust in the market yet. His record is sketchy to say the least.
