Will be interesting to see if Messi can tear it up in the CL as he’s been quiet during the sharp end in Europe for quite a few years.
I wonder how an Everton would do in La Liga or a Sevilla would do in EPL. I don’t think La Liga is as bad as you say but the gap (financially and players wise) between the top 2 and Atletico is far bigger than the top 6 in the EPL to the ‘rest’.

I also think Messi would score as much in the EPL, he is just that good.

        He is brilliant.

I think he would score in the PL it would in theory be great to see it (though not if it was anywhere like City etc).

The tempo in Spanish football is made for players like him though. Would be great to see him try it out over here (technically down there from me).

That ship has sailed I think, saw he is about 100 games behind Xavi in All time La Liga appearances so he’ll want to beat that. He has the passing game (sooooooooo underrated) and set pieces that mean he could feasibly drop into midfield. I think he’ll be around for a few years yet.

Great game. I really fancy us against this Barca side, not particularly great anymore aside from GOATy

Valencia 2-0 up against Madrid with a few minutes to play. Madrid so weak this season. Valencia have been extremely effective. Wouldn't be surprised if they win the Europa League and finish in the top 4. Already in the Copa del Rey final too.

Haven't played well this season, but are hitting form at the right time. Shows what some patience with a manager can do. Teams these days are often too quick to get rid of their managers, Marcelino was almost sacked a couple of months ago. Doubt any other manager would be getting these results out of this group now. Beating Sevilla and Madrid back to back is outstanding for any team.

Respect to Real Betis fans for their annual Christmas cuddly toy throwing onto the pitch. These are collected up by the club and distributed to ess fortunate children
