We need to go and get Higuain, he fits our system and would be sensational IMO.

Agree with Stimpy that we are ****ed if we have to rely on Lambert and Borini when Sturridge gets a knock.

Without seeing the new line up and formation, I think its a bit early to be dismissing it out of hand. Sure, Suarez leaves a massive gaping hole, but other teams have gone on to reinvent themselves after superstars have left to pretty decent effect. Look at United (ugh) - they sold Cristiano Ronaldo and (on paper) replaced him with Antonio Valencia - the truth is, they didn't do that at all, they recruited from within to find the contribution they needed and continued to be successful without him.

You don't replace people like Suarez, he's utterly unique. What you do is find attributes he might have had in other players and ask them as a collective to contribute.

Eto'o will contribute experience, movement, bench options and big game know how that Markovic or Sturridge couldn't possibly have at such an early stage in their careers. They provide vibrancy, pace, movement and hopefully some of the nuts skill that made us love watching Suarez.

It won't be the same, but I'm kind of really looking forward to and hoping for a stronger team.

I think Higuain is average for the money we'd be paying for him. He had an awful world cup, missing sitters and playing poorly, to the point of getting dropped of the first 11.

That is hardly a good way of judging a player.

I went nuts deep on a couple of the NASA and Pan Am ones earlier
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I've seen a lot of Higuain and he's never really impressed me. I haven't scientifically gathered data over a long period of time mind, his stats might show that he's the best player to never grace the Anfield turf.

I thought he was good until I read that.

He's a mercenary **** and I'd worry about the damage a player with his attitude could do to our tight-knit hungry squad. BUT if Brendan talks to him and believes afterwards that he's motivated and hungry enough to want to fight and prove a point with us, rather than just cash in for a year, then he'd be a decent stop-gap. His stats are very impressive wherever he's been.
