When will the EPL bubble burst - Most of the revenue is UK based, UK is facing a cost of living crisis, BT and Sky will be the first to go ?

Thats 900k people paying a tenner a game.

Id pay that if I could get every game from a single provider in quality streaming.

Its not possible though. I dont want a dish or cable box (virgin refused to provide it just through streaming (I just have their internet) and i think sky sports was sd).

Going to be waiting a long time for that.

I remember pre EPL when John Barnes was reported to be on 10k and people were saying the bubble would burst soon.

Same when Shearer went to Blackburn for a then big fee.

Hell go back to Trevor Francis moving for a fee of a million quid and people were saying the game was gone nuts and something would have to gve soon.

Will always be plenty willing to chuck money at the EPL and the less western sources of money, the more the number of Middle Eastern ones will grow in order to get a foothold.

Been plenty of savage recessions and cost of living crisis situations over the decades, yet the money in top flight footy just continued to grow and grow.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Will be cutting Sky & BT myself if I don't get some sort of deal from them. Ringing to try get a deal first as the price is astronomical & take it from there.

Sky via their NOW platform have been bombarding me with 'special' offers for Sports over last few months.

Same boat. My current deal ends in mid-November.

As long as there is dirty money in the world it will keep getting bigger!

The answer for me is $0. It should be on FTA.

The biggest danger might be City winning by 30 points every year. Interest might go down if their is no competition and everyone knows City are cheating at a whole different level

I think the cycle of boom in EPL will start to resonate elsewhere - Tech savvy youngsters are now streaming via dodgy FC, the older gens are starting to think about the pockets more now than in 2008.

The problem the broadcastors & prem league have is that they cannot keep up with technology, so there will always be a way to watch the games you want on Streams, IPTV, etc. Long term they are ****ed & TBH they probably deserve to be; becuase essentially they are ruining it for the general public.

The sheer saturation, player burn out (we are just starting to see this & another 18 months of constant football with the WC, league season, Euro/AFCON, league season will accelorate this, to a point only the richest can compete by refreshing top quality players), pointless games, etc.

In the end the richest will be playing meaningless games against each other, with the other clubs having their own 1st division; a bit like when the Prem came in to play & the EFL retained the Div 1 trophy & naming rights/convention.

City have won it four out of the last five years, soon to be five out six. I agree with Charly and Deano, monopoly and sugar daddies will be the death of viewership for me.

I will probably give up the subscription at the end of the month, I get the Premier League separately so if there are next to no games for Nov and Dec and Liverpool in the ****s, I might as well stop paying for a bit.
                              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Pointless anyone paying for November and December as all decent level footy stops for the **** in Qatar.
