I can't see anyone paying a fee for him. Maybe a loan where we have to subsidise his wages.

What a madcap signing. Someone's head needs to roll

I thought he'd run out of last chances and would make a huge effort to prove his doubters wrong. If we manage to offload him this summer then I guess the fee wasn't too much of a risk, if he stays here and continues to contribute nothing then the gamble hasn't paid off. I have nothing against Balotelli other than he's not very good and he isn't suited to our style of play. A better manager might have been able to motivate him, but perhaps Mario is destined to be a bad fit for every club daft enough to take a risk on him.

Absolutely. It isn't the first time this has happened either. Remember Rodgers' first season we started the season with only Suarez and Borini (who immediately got injured) if I remember right, that was a complete screw up too only partly rectified by making such good buys in Jan.

I remain unconvinced too that Remy was all that great a plan A... or was Sanchez A and Remy B?

I mean really there are decent forwards out there who aren't obviously crap and would have scored a few flipping goals for us this season, how was all we could come up with in a whole summer to replace Suarez in the squad were 3 players, the last of whom was Mario Balotelli?
It would be interesting to know what we thought we were getting in Markovic in this context. Also if there was a specific reason he never seemed to be considered for what would seem his more natural position higher up the pitch.

The summer transfers would make a lot more sense if we were thinking of him as a complementary forward to Ballotelli, Lambert and Strurridge also capable of playing wider.

What's the bet that AC offer us about five quid. ****s

A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Was Mario and Milner Bessie mates at City or not ?

This is the signing to bring the best out of our mercurial striker

                    what a bunch of clowns.

did brendan think he could do the unthinkable and turn mario into a team player. size of that ego.
Rodgers never wanted him and said as such prior to him sihning. Forced into a corner with zero options. Didn't help we'd pissed most our money up the wall on ****e though.

The result of having no plan B, we were champions league bound, finished a close second, had the choice of Europe, we pissed about chasing a man who only wanted London and left it too late.
