    March 2003:
While at Liverpool, Diouf was fined two weeks wages by the club, £5,000 by the Glasgow Sheriff Court and handed a two-match ban after spitting at Celtic supporters during a Uefa Cup tie at Celtic Park.

    Feb 2004:
A verbal tirade at referee Ali Bujsaim while on international duty for Senegal, against Tunisia at the African Cup of Nations, resulted in a four-match international ban.

    Nov 2004:
Double spitting disgrace. He is fined £500 for spitting at an 11-year-old Middlesbrough supporter and then, later that same month, Bolton fine him a fortnight's wages and ban him for three games after he spat at Portsmouth captain Arjan de Zeeuw. Diouf admits he showed a "lack of moral responsibility".

    Jan 2005:
Bolton manager Sam Allardyce concedes Diouf has earned himself more notoriety following a blatant dive that led to the winning goal against Blackburn - and admitted the striker has "been doing it all his life".

    Dec 2005:
Banned for 12 months after being found guilty of a drink-driving offence. The 24-year-old had been out drinking champagne to celebrate a Premiership win, Bolton Magistrates' Court heard.

    Jan 2006:
Released without charge after he was alleged to have punched the ex-wife of Senegal team-mate Khalilou Fadiga in a Dakar night club.

    Oct 2007:
Diouf admits to deliberately getting sent off for Bolton so he would be suspended from domestic competition and therefore able to represent Senegal.

    Jan 2009:
Allegedly threatens Sunderland team-mate Anton Ferdinand following a dressing-room confrontation. Three days later he was sold to Blackburn.

    Sept 2009:
Investigated by police for allegedly make racist comment to white ball boy during Blackburn's 3-0 defeat to Everton.

Who was it that really slagged off Diouf over the spitting, then signed him and said....'oh he's ok, nice lad'

        Allardyce or Warnock ?

I think it was Warnock at Leeds wasn't it? Didn't he call him a gutter rat or something? Might be completely wrong but it seems to ring a bell haha.

Sounds about right, yeah he had a right go, then waxed lyrical about what a good lad he was.

I can't abide people like that, I don't know why he wants to take on the world every week. For many years I have thought he (Diouf) was the gutter type - I was going to call him a sewer rat but that might be insulting to sewer rats.

I think he is the lowest of the low and I can't see him being at Blackburn much longer because I can't see Steve Kean putting up with someone like that in the dressing room when he is trying to form a new image for Blackburn.

I think he will be the first to go and good riddance - I hope he goes abroad because I won't miss watching him. He is a nasty little person.

All but the one I mention happened after his time at LFC. Yet he was judged a prick before all the rest. Correct judgement no doubt, just wondered why.

Rodgers has spoken privately to the striker , making it clear he is now SEVENTH choice amongst the strikers at Anfield, behind even youngsters Jerome Sinclair and Sheyi Ojo in the pecking order.

That promising pair will be given some playing time in the Capital One Cup and possibly Europa League if the situation allows, which means Balotelli won’t play at all... and his exclusion from the squads this weekend rams that message home.

Kev you are relentless. You really need to get over this Mario anst. It's not healthy.

He's a nice lad who doesn't run his arse off for the cause who was the wrong signing for us. There are plenty of other more deserving footballers out there where your anger could be directed.
