Mario Balotelli is struggling for form because he is “not quite there psychologically”, according to AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.
Balotelli was left out of Milan’s starting XI to face Chievo in Serie A on Sunday and urged to “help himself” by fully applying himself in training.
“It is not punishment to leave someone out,” Mihajlovic said at his pre-match press conference. “For our style of football, it is necessary to have players at 100 per cent. I told the lads that the system only counts to a certain degree.
“Just look at the spirit Juventus showed against Sassuolo, maintaining that hunger even after four consecutive Scudetti.
In terms of attitude, they are a step above the rest, as players like Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala sacrifice themselves to work for the team. That must be our objective too.”
Asked specifically about Balotelli, on loan from Liverpool, Mihajlovic said: “I think his physical condition is good, but psychologically he’s not quite there yet. He needs to improve mentally, but that has always been his problem.
“He has been training regularly for two months now, so physically he should be fine. I asked him and Jeremy Menez to do some things, they managed them once every five opportunities and we really can’t afford that.
“Menez has physical problems holding him back, but Balotelli does it because he can’t maintain concentration. I don’t want to compare Mandzukic to Balotelli, as they have different characteristics, but he could’ve done more off the ball.
“Improvement depends on him, we all want to help him. First of all, he has to help himself. He has to be more present and do what we ask of him more consistently.”
Sounds like what most of us on here knew already, nothing changes
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Bad investment needs to be just written off, total disaster start to finish a complete cluster **** of a signing, who ever pushed for it, should no longer work at the club.

Il Milanista say that meetings took place between Balotelli and Suning's representatives in Milan over the weekend.
The Chinese club are reportedly ready to pay the 25-year-old an eye-watering £11.8m a season.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

We had all hoped for this and is so many ways he is the quintessential CSL player, a "big name" primadonna who actually thinks he is better than he is. They will lash money at him and himself and Mino will laugh all the way to the bank.
It is actually scandalous that he could make almost £230k per week and he is laziest most over hyped player in the world. The only good thing in all of this is that we'll get a fee for him and will probably make our money back. If Skrtel also goes there for real money then the CSL is the greatest thing in football at the moment.

We mustn't forget that the emergence of the CSL is a double-edged sword. It is going to push up prices, so while it'll be fantastic to offload our deadwood for big fees, we're going to be stung when we dabble in the market.

It's all relative though, like rising house prices. If we sell for inflated fees and replace with much better quality for equally inflated fees then I don't think we've lost. We only lose if we offload below market value and then buy at inflated costs.
