Brendan Rodgers has said that Mario Balotelli accepted his decision to drop him to the bench for yesterday’s game against West Brom. “I’m not sure. He accepts what the position is.” Rodgers said when asked about Balotelli’s reaction.
“He is still looking to gain fitness, he has played games. His reaction was fine, he came on and did his best.”

Sounds like Brendan is playing hardball with Mario... fair play to him if so... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...otelli-4385601Originally posted by Bender View PostBrendan Rodgers has said that Mario Balotelli accepted his decision to drop him to the bench for yesterday’s game against West Brom. “I’m not sure. He's a good man manager, he must feel this is the best approach to get the best out of Mario. It seemed to work when he came on the other day.Originally posted by Tribute View PostSounds like Brendan is playing hardball with Mario... fair play to him if so... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...otelli-4385601

i think the fact that Balotelli has been left out of the Italian squad is huge for LFC. The last international break was a right kick in the stones for LFC. The injuries have obviously hampered us. However, hopefully this one does us good. If Sturridge and Balotelli can get some good time together on the training pitch to build up fitness as well as an understanding, then these next 2 weeks could really impact our season in a positive way. Likewise for Joe Allen and Glen Johnson to build up more fitness, then all of a sudden we are looking a lot stronger....
It would be so frustrating if one of our international players came back injured.....

He doesn't seem to naturally play up front, but likes to drop back into space - should be better with Sturridge up there hopefully. They both have a moody temperament which worries me....Originally posted by marcus50bucks View PostNice little cameo by Balotelli. Rodgers threw down the gauntlet and he responded well. Thought he made a couple of good runs but was ignored. He's got a wonderful first touch. The link up play with Gerrard towards the end was lovely stuff.
I want QPR to feel the wrath of Mario and Sturridge in two weeks time
