The overwhelming majority of people don't take offence about stuff like this. We Scousers would spend most of our lives complaining about others' stereotypical notions about us if we didn't have a sense of humour. You can say pretty much anything you like about us in the general media and not be criticised - which is the exact opposite of how other groups of people are treated.

I don't think there needs to be someone taking personal offense for something to be called out as racist. Repeating and continuing a racial stereotype, particularly one that is deemed less than complimentary, is reasonably considered racist, and in this case anti-Semitic.

And there are far bigger issues in the world than John Terry calling someone a black cunt, but it should be deal with.

Cant help but think that if he had scored 10 PL goals this season, he'd find a lot more sympathy with his own club's fans. Fake outrage with a lot of people

It's a stereotype which has been used for particularly sinister purposes in the past.
