by the time sturridge is back mario will be goneOriginally posted by Gibbo View Post21k for carpet, Christ.
I'm still clinging onto small hope that when Sturridge comes back him and Mario will be ok.

I'm amazed at his lack of movement, he doesn't make runs or move into space, it seems he's standing around waiting for the ball to arrive at his feet so that he can larrupp( I think that's the word) a tap in. Defenders must love marking him after Suarez who was was like a slippery eel in the box, contantly bobbing and weaving making defenders dizzy, Sturridge finds space with ease always looking for a half chance, just can't wait for his return. If he needs a partner up front let it be Sterling because Balotelli is pants.Originally posted by danperkins View PostYup lot of people doing it everything is slow and predictable. Slow getting shots off and sow to release the ball.
Sell him to West Ham, they'll have him I'm sure.

Bang on. He's only interested if the ball is within 10 / 15 yards of him. Otherwise he's standing there.Originally posted by Fan65 View PostI'm amazed at his lack of movement, he doesn't make runs or move into space, it seems he's standing around waiting for the ball to arrive at his feet so that he can larrupp( I think that's the word) a tap in. So, ban over & probably fit for the bench at least.
I'd be surprised if he doesn't start at least one game over the Xmas period. As we'd all like to maybe call it quits, Mario is here to stay and I feel it's unlikely we will be signing another striker this January. No matter how much we need one.
I've seen enough this season to have huge reservations about his style of play and ability, but there is a world class player in there somewhere & we just have to hope that player makes an appearance.
I hate to pin our top 4 hopes on him, but as much as the return of Sturridge will be vital, I think it's essential this man lives up to his billing if we are to make the CL & find success in the cups.Forwards.......

We're not finishing top 4 this year. And we are most definitely not making the top 4 with Mario in the team. He's poison IMO.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostSo, ban over & probably fit for the bench at least.

I very much doubt there is a world class player in there. He has ability alright but not a chance in the world will he ever be world class.. not even close. He's a 10-12 goal a season player at best in the premier league. At this rate i'd be happy even if he could get 5 for LFC.
So far been an absolute disaster signing & owes us at least a few good performances.

The saddest thing is that the only ingredient missing and which will turn him into one of teh very best instantly is his desire and workrate. If he showed half the appetite as Luis (no pun intended!) we would have a very special player, but I am just sick and tired of him ambling around the pitch and not working anywhere near hard enough."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball."
