Just how I feel, I just think Rodgers will ultimately not lead us to success. His transfer record is poor, but there are a number of signings who could yet turn out very well. If offered the option today though, I think I'd consider replacing him with Klopp or Rafa tbh. If next season goes poorly, who do we replace him with then? De Boer maybe but he might be on the move this summer too.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I'll be very impressed if he wins it, Aston Villa will be purely focused ans motivated for it and Arsenal are a big team, playing well. The Gooners have to be favourites. If Rodgers wins the cup I think he'll get another season for sure.Originally posted by ChrisDR1968 View PostThat's my suspicion too. Hope I'm wrong though... starting with this season's FA Cup

Remember when we had over £100m and we bought Lovren, Moreno, Markovic, Lallana, Lambert and Balotelli - great timesOriginally posted by Tee View PostGet him, give him £70 or £80m to bring the likes of Hummels, Reus and Lewandowski (I know he is at Munich), and watch us take off. I know it's not that easy but it's a nice thought!
He’s here! I *know* he’s here! That’s him, I’m telling you that’s him! You hear me? I’m telling you it’s *Keyser Soze*!

Even more recently does anyone remember when Klopp had Dortmund at the lofty heights of bottom of the league?Originally posted by Keyser Soze View PostRemember when we had over £100m and we bought Lovren, Moreno, Markovic, Lallana, Lambert and Balotelli - great times

I would take bottom of the league after 7 years if it meant he gave us 2 league titles after 5 seasons.Originally posted by ChesterDave View PostEven more recently does anyone remember when Klopp had Dortmund at the lofty heights of bottom of the league?_____________________________________

Michael Zorc is their Sporting Director, and this is how he runs their set-up (thanks to PhaseofPlay on RAWK). Quite different to how we seemingly do things.Originally posted by ChrisDR1968 View PostDoes Klopp work with a director of football at Dortmund?
The transfer commitee needs to go imo
Michael Zorc, The sporting director set up the sporting structure: A strong academy and a sophisticated scouting system. Many clubs have a good academy but not many have a scouting system like BVB. That is Dortmund’s comparative advantage.
Dortmund have 10 full time scouts – who earn between 7,500 to 15,000 euros per month each. They use every bit of information they get to find a suitable player for the club. When they find a good candidate, three or four of them follow him in training and matches for a few weeks and gather as much information as they can about him as a player and as a person.
Basically, Dortmund’s transfer market strategy is about investing relatively a lot in scouts so they can find relatively cheap world class players. This system gave Zorc and his crew an advantage over richer clubs, which just didn’t look for players where Dortmund had.
