Financially, it might be worth keeping the likes of Williams in the squad for the homegrown quota so we can avoid paying the English premium for the actual first team.
-
noone else compares to him at bringing the ball forward 30-40 yards into the box and unlocking defences, also winning a ridiculous amount of fouls. He'll do really well playing at City surrounded by quality players and opposition won't be able to focus on him alone with Kane, Debruyne, Foden, Mahrez knocking about
Kane will do well but more by brute force and a million shots than suiting their style. I'd be more concerned if they got Lukaku.

Grealish is clearly totally overrated at £100m. I don't think his numbers for final passes or goals scored is great. But yeah, he is the most fouled player in the league, maybe he is that good.

yeah big time. I know Villas form fell away when Grealish got injured, but the hype for him is unbelievable. I nearly hope they do sign him for big cash.
With Kane, i get it that he is a good striker. And to be honest, i didn't think he was as good as he was until I saw him live. But I don't think I would like LFC to sign him. He wouldn't fit in with the way we play. I don't think he would fit in with the way City play either to be honest. His build up play has improved over the last year or so - but I don't think he is an aguero replacement to be honest

Grealish is like Lallana - £100m is madnessOriginally posted by danperkins View PostGrealish is a quality player no doubts, 100m is way too much though. Kane though he probably is worth the 100m plus in todays market and would score a **** load for them. Ffs the squad they have already, adding Kane and Grealish to an already ridiculously talented squad and it would be hard not to see them cruise the title again.

Good job they're not guilty of any financial irregularities, or people might question were all this money comes from, given the lack of/low crowds, lack of player sales...

Maybe it would have been better if they’d won the CL? Football is eating itself alive.
Until some kind of spending regulations come in we can look forward to watching Coty dominate.
The problem is that, as illustrated last season, whilst a decent amount of teams can compete with City in a one of game. Over a season when they can rotate so effectively they end up winning a ridiculously high percentage of their games.
It is quite frankly amazing that we went toe to toe with them for 2 years.

You have to laugh at the sheer denial.
I’d love to see him back his words up by going even just 1 season without spending.
Should be more than achievable given the squad he already has.

So £200m plus on 2 players?
You've got to wonder how do Pep and the Man City scouting department manage to locate these top class players?

Though if they send 100m to Villa and 100m + to Spurs, then there may be a trickle down effect where those clubs, or clubs those clubs buy from, having the cash to buy some of those we wish to offload, and giving us a bit more spending power to strengthen.
