The revelation was made by Jaime Lorenzo, the president of Raqui San Isidro, the first professional club that Pedro played for in Spain.

Lorenzo told radio station Cadena Ser: ‘The player was here working at a soccer school a few weeks back and his friends already know he is going.'

'And the other day I saw Pedro’s mum in a furniture shop and she told me that he is going to England. I believe it's a good challenge for him and it means he will get more playing time.’

The Spanish fourth tier side San Isidro, based in the Canary Islands, are set to earn £317,000 if the £22million transfer goes through.

Pedro played for them in the 2003 season scoring 35 goals for their B-team, making his debut when he was just 17 in their first team; and then signing for Barcelona in 2004.

I'm guessing not many are willing to take a chance on him at the moment.

He was with the LFC fans at Goodison a couple of years back. Would have liked to have seen him play for us.

Could prove to be a very good signing for both club and player.

Gives M'Vila somewhere to rebuild his rep, and gives Sunderland a player with a hell of a lot of talent and physical strength.

Could be or he sticks to type and proves to be a disruptive influence to the squad

True but if they get both Leroy Fer and M'Vila this summer, then both will have the potential to add serious beef and proper ability to Sunderland.

Fer is the safer bet as he tends to perform week in week out, but if M'Vila arrives and gets his gead right, then they would make for a formidable pairing in the centre of midfield.

He's a good player when he's at it but if things aren't going well is he someone to rely on ? Past performance tells us probably not

Plenty of players could have that leveled at them. We have a few guys at LFC that have plenty of Ifs beside their names at this stage. Guys like Sturridge (if he can stay fit for any sustained length of time), Sakho (fitness again), Benteke (If he can carry over goal scoring form), Coutinho (if he can be more consistent) etc etc

Past performance has shown that when settled M'Vila's on pitch form is of a pretty high quality.

Have a feeling a more challenging league like the EPL would get him to up his game.

He may well flop, but for the money that is being mentioned in the media (£7m to £8m) he would be a relatively (going by the EPL's crazy finances) low cost punt.

He's a risk simple as that due to his temperament much like Balotelli look how that's turned out.

The examples you've used above are for differing reasons and not attitude which for me is always one of the biggest risks you can take with a player and invariably it doesn't work out well.

Good luck to the fella but I fully expect the same old issues cropping up; why aren't others in for him ?

Sunderland have completed the season-long loan signing of France international Yann M’Vanilla.

It's better than ending up at Sunderland permanently.
                                3rd place. Worst champions ever.
