One billion Euro (in case anyone was wondering where they came up with 728m).

That seems slightly overpriced for a 30 year old.
That rug really tied the room together.

Former West Ham striker Carlton Cole is training with Celtic.

Imagine if he had signed for us back in 2010. "Ex-Liverpool striker Carlton Cole is training with Celtic."

He'd still be here and would be the best striker at the club!

That's good because there's not a snowballs chance in hell that will ever happen. What a cock head.

You just had to say that didn't you? When it happens, you can apologise to all of us
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

A mystery club offered more money than Manchester United for the signature of Anthony Martial, Monaco have revealed.

Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev revealed that it was only because of Martial's strong desire to join Louis van Gaal's side and the add-ons that could potentially take the fee to £58m that the striker was allowed to make the switch to United.

"There was another club that offered even more than United," Vasilyev told Marca.

"I will not say how much, but the fixed price – without variables – it was even better.

"And also they offered us to have him for a further year in Monaco. But the boy wanted to go to Manchester, it was his dream.

"We let him go with the bonus of €30 million. Had it not been for so much money, he’d have stayed."

Difficult to tell which was the bigger factor.
