They could have Bentexit and Bago****ti for 40m and still have £30m change to spend on other players.

not just how rich they are now, How much staying in the league is worth...Watford turning down 70m for strikers as sure i read somewhere that its a minimum 120m a season for staying in the PL with the new tv deal.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostI think we're now getting to see how rich the English clubs are. This doesn't look good IMO._____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?

If a Scout with £70m can't find a lower mid table team a striker then they should be sacked immediately.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostAnd get who instead? If they drop out of the Premier League due to lack of goals then they stand to lose millions more. The times they are a changin'.

Ighalo is a £5m player, £10m maybe in today's crazy market. He'll never repeat last years purple patch in his life and will never score more than 10 PL goals in a season again. Should have cashed in.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostIt's not as simple as that though is it? Ighalo and Deeney between them scored over 30 goals. Who would you suggest?
If he can make the step up, Sinclair could be a decent replacement for him though. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I see Watford are well sorted for next season, they already have Success.
Troy Deeney, Isaac Success & Christian Kabasele agree Watford deals.Last edited by Vermilion; 01-07-16, 11:07 PM.

I keep forgetting Watford have sacked QSF, which makes it even more curious that they have turned down these big money moves. I wonder how much money will be made available to Mazzarri, as surely you'd think (rightly or wrongly) that he'd fancy his chances spending £30m+ on his own players than inheriting ones that may not even suit his system. Probably a good chance he'll only play one up top too.
Obviously today's market is crazy and it's not cheap to get a proven PL goal scorer, but surely someone like Cisse from Newcastle could be bought on the cheap to replace Ighalo and the rest of the money invested elsewhere.
Very interesting owners at Watford, will be interesting to see how it all plays out.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think we'll look back at that one after the window feeling rather pleased with ourselves.
