Can we just chuck a pile of cash at them for Kovacic, Icardi and Handanovic?
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

Mateo Kovacic draws £10 million transfer bid from Liverpool - ESPN

      BY PETE O'ROURKE

Liverpool have made a £10 million bid for Inter Milan and Croatia midfielder Mateo Kovacic, sources have told ESPN FC.

Kovacic has been a long-term transfer target for the Anfield club, who reportedly had an initial offer for the 21-year-old rejected earlier this month.

However, Liverpool are refusing to give up their pursuit of the Kovacic and tabled a new bid of £10m for the schemer.

Kovacic came to prominence at Dinamo Zagreb and his performances saw him attract interest of a host of top clubs across Europe before Inter secured his signature in January 2013.

The attacking midfielder enjoyed his best season to date for Inter this term, scoring five goals in 34 games and he signed a new deal in January to keep him at the San Siro until 2019.

Despite being on a long-term deal Liverpool are hopeful of striking a deal for Kovacic and could even offer Lucas Leiva in part-exchange with Roberto Mancini a confirmed admirer of the Brazilian.

Kovacic for 10m is some laugh. He cost them most than that as an 18 year old!

Don't hold your breath mate. Rodgers doesn't want a true dm.

Considering how open we've looked over the last two seasons, I really would worry about us. I actually don't think i've ever been this worried about LFC ever. Just have no faith in the whole setup, from on the pitch, to management, to everyone else.

Of course we're not interested that would involve the club having scouts that didn't spend all their time watching Match of the day.

As Liverpool search for a worthy replacement for departing captain Steven Gerrard, rumours continue to circle around interest in Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

The Sylvester Stallone lookalike, 21, was reportedly the subject of a £12.9 million bid from the Reds this week.

Reports citing Italian tabloid Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Liverpool are now ahead of Arsenal in the race for the Croatian this summer.

“However, it is thought Inter are holding out for an offer closer to £18 million.”

The legitimacy of these claims is highly debatable given the source, but Kovacic is a name that just won’t go away at the moment—and rightly so, as he is a player with huge potential, but also one who could slot in straight away within Rodgers’ midfield.

Kovacic would complement Philippe Coutinho‘s talents perfectly.

Just throw £18 million at them, Reds.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Roberto Mancini Speaks Out On Mateo Kovacic Amid Liverpool Link

                              30/05/2015 - 16:10 PM

Inter coach Roberto Mancini is keen for Liverpool target Mateo Kovacic to remain at the club, but is striking a realistic note on his chances of keeping hold of the Croatian international.

Kovacic is a key target for Liverpool and it is thought talks have already taken place between Inter officials and their English counterparts over a potential deal.

Inter are keen to splash the cash in the summer, but need to bring in funds to help finance a spending spree.

Mancini would like to keep Kovacic, but appears to not know whether that will be possible, despite his importance to the Nerazzurri.

Asked about Kovacic in a press conference, Mancini replied: "He is the focus of our team and of our project, but it is difficult to know what will happen in the coming weeks.

Inter pounced to snap up Kovacic from Dinamo Zagreb in 2013, on a deal potentially worth €15m to the Croatian club.

The 21-year-old is an established Croatia international and has won 19 caps so far for his country.

There might be something in this I reckon despite what James Pearce said last night
