If he can oversee a 6-1 thrashing by Stoke or a capitulation in a semi final against the worst villa side ever then I'm sure he's more than capable of getting Coutinho and Kovacic in the same side.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

He managed to get Can, Gerrard, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Lallana & Coutinho in the same starting XI, he's a magician.

from sport witness, make of this what you will

According to reports from TMW, Liverpool have sent club officials to Croatia tonight as they close in on Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic. The youngster has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past couple of months as manager Brendan Rodgers looks to sign one of their main targets this summer.

It has emerged Liverpool have sent a delegation to watch the game between Croatia and Italy in Split tonight ahead of Kovacic’s proposed move to the Merseyside club. Kovacic is expected to start in Croatia’s crucial Euro 2016 clash with their bitter rivals, and Liverpool will be there to monitor their summer target.

Liverpool are keen to get a deal done for the Inter Milan star to arrive in England for next season as they look to bounce back from their disappointing season which saw the team finish 6th in the Premier League after going so close to winning the title in the previous campaign. TMW claim Liverpool are prepared to offer Inter Milan €23 plus €2m bonuses to sign Kovacic when the window reopens next month.

Only this week we covered on reports from Italy that a deal was imminent for Kovacic to sign for Liverpool after recent talks between the two clubs. We contacted Kovacic's agent this week to ask him if he wanted to confirm or deny claims from Croatia that the midfielder had agreed terms with Liverpool, he politely declined to comment on the situation

This is a much better quality of signing assuming it's actually happening.

Ive not seen much of him but if he's our No 1 target I hope we get him ASAP.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I don't think he is actually. I reckon the club want to pull one out of the hat with a proper quality striker and we're using Benteke as a smokescreen.

He'll go to Chelsea or Spurs while we buy someone quality. It's all about keeping Coutinho this season.

I think this summer could actually be a good one. Assuming we are in for Kovacic and we land him then having already plundered Milner then that's pretty decent start for midfield. Ings is avoid option for upfront and Bogdan... Well he's not going to play much really.

If we somehow smuggle Jovatic as part of the Sterling deal and get a decent right back then we're just a solid defensive midfielder away from looking pretty tidy. Or we can always hope that Lucas can stay fit.

I'm all for positivity. Let's ****ing have it

As reported by Italian media, Liverpool delegation also followed the qualifying match Croatian and Italian at Poljud stadium , but the main point of interest was not I meet but Mateo Kovacic.

The Reds remain only to the young 21-year-old team member perform Fiery talk , who allegedly had already sent an offer to Inter in the amount of 22.6 million euros, plus an additional two million euros bonus.

The club from Anfield just to see Kovacic ideal replacement for Steven Gerrard who is at the end of the season farewell to the red jersey and will continue his career in the LA Galaxy. Inter last season did not play picnic, but a Croat in 35 games enrolled five goals and three assists and was a major player Roberto Mancini.

Although Liverpool have already brought several new players, like James Milner, Danny Ings and Adam Bogdan, the fans would have been happier if from next season Anfield rage quality player like Mateo Kovacic in which to get a fine and a pledge for the future.
