I ****ing love the Metro. Where all the mainstream journos want to bring us down with their Benteke and Chucky Austin links the Metro is out there with proper links to proper footballers. Makes the off season that little bit less dour/ demoralising!

Although the inevitable comedown is somewhat crushing

A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Gazetta cite "unofficial" sources that #LFC and #Inter have agreed a deal of 23m Euros plus bonuses for appearances for #Kovacic.

Gazetta claim Inter want to announce a "coup" before annoucing the sale of #Kovacic to #LFC http://www.gazzetta.it/Calciomercato...?refresh_ce-cp

I won't believe we are in for him until I see him at his unveiling at Stamford Bridge.

Thanks for posting Bender however reading that article in full it seems to be based on the stuff from Jutarnji.hr that Marcus50bucks posted yesterday. i.e. old info re-cycled by Gazetta as new info.

i hope this one pushes through.

I was sure that Lucas would be going in the opposite direction - just a feeling.

I would hope that we will start to see the likes of Borini, Jose Enrique and Balotelli **** off soon as well though. Free up some space in the squad, sell Sterling for 50m and then add two more first team signings.....

Milner, Ings, Bogdan, Kovacic and 2 others would be a very good summer. Would love if the two others included Vietto....

Once you hear "the selling team want to announce a 'coup' before announcing the deal" it's usually horse manure.

Kovacic: I am happy in Italy

                    Aadam Ahmed June 14, 2015 16:19

Mateo Kovacic’s future is anything but certain. The Croatian talent has been heavily linked with Liverpool in recent weeks, and many reports suggest that a deal has already been struck. However, after Croatia’s match against Italy, Tuttosport interviewed Kovacic, and just released what the midfielder had to say about his future:

“I am currently happy in Italy, and we will see what will happen. Right now, all I am thinking about is my holiday. All I know is that I will be returning to Appiano Gentile on July 5. I have not heard anything different from the club. We do not have to talk because I recently renewed my contract. I do not expect any negotiations, but you never know what can happen in the mercato. I have not spoken to Rakitic about the Champions League Final, but I have heard about what it means to win it from Modric and Mandzukic. Every player dreams of playing in the Champions League and winning it. I do as well.”

It's all about the CL. We had our chance last summer and blew up. Fingers crossed we can get this lad but the lack of CL football will hurt us.

What he is quoted as saying is quite similar to what Coutinho said before he left Inter.
