Unlike his football his punditry is all over the place. One minute Utd are in crisis, too defensive, players not played in the right position, etc. Then suddenly they can win the CL.

I suppose that's true of most ex-professional footballers I suppose.

I'm an advocate of the 10 second rule. That sort of thing happens, you're allowed 10 seconds outside of the rules to react as you see fit.

I'd give it 20 seconds in Aussie Rugby League, as that **** can be more more upsetting and you need time to unclench before you wreak revenge.

I thought that winning the EL took the place of 4th, obviously not. Looking forward to seeing Sevilla in there, great team to watch.

Only once sort of - Everton finished 4th in 2005 but Liverpool won the competition and finished 5th so they let Liverpool in but of course Everton had to play the 3rd qualifier knock out round and er got knocked out!

Of course the rules are now different so yes you can have 5 teams or four if France/Italy/Portgual team won it.
