England vs Russia - Group B Game #2 - Match Thread
He's diabolical. No brain at all, and he's not even that quick really.

Also if the plan was to play with one striker upfront, why did he take five strikers (Kane, Vardy, Rashford, Sturridge, Rooney) to the Euros at the expense of central defenders and midfielders.
I thought England played well, for me there were two main problems, firstly they didn't take their chances when they were on top in the first half, they really should have been 2 or 3 up by half time, Lallana probably had the best chances but wasn't able to put them away. The second problem is the defence isn't the best, it's an area they are really lacking quality and you can see it in the games and you imagine that it will cost them at some point.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
For me the make up of the squad is wrong. Taking 5 strikers essentially when only looking to play one up top and shoehorning Rooney into midfield is crazy especially when to do so we've left ourselves short in midfield and really short at the back.
Kane should have been dragged off after an hour or so along with Sterling as neither of them played well.

I would have put Vardy upfront for the last 15 or so when Russia were chasing the game, he's a good player for that situation, also, is Wilshere that good? I mean the bloke hasn't played for a year or something and comes on at the EUROs, I'd be peeved off if I were Henderson or Milner, Rooney shoehorned ahead of them and sicknote than who's been out for the last season picked ahead as well.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
Taking Wilshere was madness in my opinion, having him and Henderson who have missed significant portions of the season through injury and haven't played many games towards the end of the season seems too much of a risk for such a key area of the field, especially when you add in 5 forwards but only 3 CBs

Uefa hammering the fans and praising the authorities, that'd be right. No segregation, the Russians getting a ****ing flare gun in the ground and the bizzies tear gassing anyone who goes near them. Great job guys!!
