Yeah Wales and Iceland were great. But they were ultimately 2 groups of complete journeyman footballers appearing in the latter stages of tournaments. Too much footy this tournament is overkill.

About the only positive I can think of is finding out about 9 in the evening that the lad who picked Portugal in 1 of the 2 sweeps I ran finished work on Friday and is moving away from Chester.

Fair play to Portugal massive underdogs who no one wants to win.

France didn't turn up, but they were lucky to be there after the semi anyway. Portugal defended very well indeed, and Pepe was immense despite being an ubercunt. For a country of 10m to get to the latter stages of major tournaments so often is impressive, and it seems pretty fair that they finally won one.
