The US have got some nice technical players. Hold and pass the ball well.

England have more of a Joe Royle ‘dogs of war’ style.

Offside - I’ll be honest this is the first game I’ve properly watched and the standard is superb. The US have some fantastic players and they have a bit of needle in them also.

I've switched it on by accident twice. First time there was an air shot in the box by an England player, second time was about 5 mins ago and an England player managed to pass the ball 5yds to an IS player when she was seemingly in control of it and under little pressure. It may be better than it used to be but it's of far lesser quality than Conference level football.

In terms of the game, I agree it is improving.

Due to the slightly different physical capabilities it means that games get a lot more stretched than we are used which actually makes for pretty exciting ends to matches.

If we are comparing it to men’s football there clearly there remains a gulf. But the entertainment levels are quite high. If other teams can meet the US in terms of quality then the game will definitely improve.

That game was better in terms of enjoyment than most semi finals in the men’s World Cup.

It’s interesting, as my sons have no concept of why women (girls) didn’t used to play football. They play in mixed groups and it is what they are growing up used to.

My son expects me to know as much about the players in this as I do players in the men’s game!!!

The France team should probably have beaten the USA once they got their house in order in the second half in the quarter finals. The USA edged it due to their experience and their know how.

It's been a good quality tournament beyond the group stages. I've been impressed by some of the football of the top teams. In a few year's time, with more money into the game, it'll be even higher.
