Former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp has said his players bet on the result of one of their matches, the Daily Telegraph has claimed.

Football Association rules forbid players from betting on games in which they are involved, with managers expected to report any misconduct.

The paper has revealed several cases of alleged fraud in English football.

When contacted by the Telegraph, Redknapp, 69, said he did not think it was against the FA rules at the time.
        Modifying post.

The more i think about it, although i'm damn sure there's plenty of corruption in british football, how could there not be with so much money swilling about, and the types of people involved in making deals.

But up to now, and including this Telegraph 'expose', the investigating into said corruption has been nothing short of lame and shoddy.

Lame enough to blow the England manager to smithereens.
            Oh I don't know.

Hardly, just sacked, watch other job offers come in though, just wait and see.

Never even got him to admit to actual things he'd done, even though the way he spoke about earning a few grand off an agent for sitting behind a desk for a couple of hours said to me he'd probably done it many times.

Hardly? Totally! His career that he's had such a chip on his shoulder about, the position he craved so much.

It's all in ruins. He's ruined.
                Oh I don't know.

We'll see about that, a million pound managerial job should he get one is hardly what i'd call ruined.

Er, he's just fallen off the precipice of the pinnacle of his life's ambition.

It's not about money, it's about credibility. He so completely desperately wanted to be accepted and prove everybody wrong about his caricature. But all he did was prove them right. And it took just 67 days.

He had it. He dropped it. The ****ing imbecile we all new that he was all along.
                      Oh I don't know.

                        He'll get over it.

Anyway, my point was, that none of these investigations has turned up real proof on anyone big in the game involved in corruption, just word of mouth gossip and a small time pay off.
