Thanjk you.

Surely openly admitting to deliberately not following the rules could and should lead to some serious repercussions. But what are the chances of that actually happening. There is no way it’s the only time this has happened. Can they be forced to release audio of some of the more controversial decisions if it’s available?
Imagine if this was an incident in one of the seasons we missed out by a point and he’d said it about one of our games. What would or could Liverpool do about it?
Then how about these guys manipulating it for other reasons like betting. We don’t know what’s actually being said or what they are talking about away from it. Don’t worry mate I got you covered no matter what.
100%
That should be released in real time but refs don't want that exposure. Terrified we actually might find out what they are saying.
They don’t want us to hear the phone ringing in the background with the offer of £50k to say it’s either yes a penalty or no it’s not ( depending on the scenario the rich owners need to win the game )
what we all knew was the issue on VAR, he's my mate.......
Get rid of it until they can do it properly
At the very least it gives Klopp an opportunity to respond to questions on VAR again in pressers.
Real time audio is a must now they are openly admitting bias. If they can have bias towards an individual, then bias for or against a club or manager is equally a possibility - and one that very much needs to be addressed in a transparent manner. Mic them up now!
Interesting that Dean says he used to dread being the VAR official, hated the Saturdays when he was in that chair. Why?? You look at the incident, and if after viewing all the angles you're still not convinced or sure (30 seconds max), you get the on field ref to look at it himself and decide. Zero pressure and as little time wasted as possible.

Not having the backbone to question another refs descision & the potential conflict that would cause between onfield ref & VAR?
Fair play for his honesty - cant be easy to admit you are not fit for purpose.
Why?
He waited until he retired to say it and he still has his new gig as a "expert ex ref" on Sky Sports now to waffle on about the rules of the game whilst still making money off the back of being **** at his job.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness

Also totally undermines the impartiality of refs and var officials everywhere.
Proves they can be "influenced" and maybe even bribed...
There needs to be more transparency. Putting microphones on everyone should be the basic minimum, works well in rugby.
It may also stop ****** footballers mouthing off if their abuse is also live.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
Looks like Dean has backtracked and asked a 6 year old to come up with a valid excuse. Actually, even a 6 year old wouldn't expect that anyone would believe that.

This is calculated from him- he’ll have big earning interview in a week or two.
Paid the price by getting paid for 3 weeks holiday, the poor mite.
Haha yaaa, I winced at that comment- that would be paying the price for an honest mistake, missing something. But for deliberately not acting with integrity like this, should have been sacked and the PGMOL should have been transparent about it too.
People saying to mic them up- I agree 100% that they should, but it wouldn’t have sorted this incident. I’m sure he didn’t say it out loud live, “he’s a mate” and even if he did- he surely wouldn’t have if he knew the audio was being broadcast live, haha.
Been said on here in the past- but you shouldn’t have the same people being ref and var ref- you’re always gonna have bias, if you’re the ref one day and the var the next day. It should be a complete separate team of people.

It would have made a difference if he knew he was accountable for his decision. What's he gonna say, 'he's been pulled to the ground by his hair, but it looked like a fair challenge'? He can't use the 'didn't see it' excuse that refs have.
If he knew that everyone was listening there is no way he makes that call IMO.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
