FFS, that’s bull**** and they know it. Another season of them protecting their mates.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Wowser, shades of Tottenham, except this one was even more obvious. Fortunately tho, it makes no difference, with Sweden winning 6 nil.

Was that really the call they got wrong, or was there something else involved in the goal.

              Clear and obvious.

Sub referee did not make a clear and obvious error, why the **** did they give so much time to award the penalty? Wish they'd taken a fifth of that time looking at the Man U handball last week

Problem is once the freekick is given it's a foul, the check of where it took place is a factual one. So if they determine it is in the box it is upgraded to a pen. Not sure the ref gives that as a foul if he thinks it's in the box,but as it's given outside the box initially...

For me if that's a pen so is the Gakpo one and we get into issues of consistency

How long did they look at the Gakpo one for?

Conspiracist in me says that Hooper was protected n the first half from being corrected but it was fine to out the substitute ref

It didn’t help that Hooper was a smug ******* when dealing with Slot as the 4th official.

I dont know what the point of the 4th official is. Anything you say ends up with no impact. The only thing I ever see is they can get you carded if you're too upset or they see you doing something they dont like. Glorified hall monitors.

Benn, 34, says she had been told by the organisation's chief refereeing officer, Howard Webb, and his wife Bibi Steinhaus-Webb - then head of women's referees - she would not be punished for coming forward.
WTF, Webb's wife ran the women's game too - that doesn't sound like a conflict of interest at all - who the **** allowed that to become a thing?!?

It's getting more difficult for me to be surprised by this stuff any more

Not sure how Eze's first goal was allowed to stand. Two Arsenal players offside, both between Eze and the keeper, blocking his view it seems, but VAR has no problem with that?

Made no difference in the long run, Spurs were dire, but still, inconsistency is the VAR keyword.
