Good response. Screw everyone in Madrid. No need to be nice now. Screw Zidane, screw the fans and screw the other players. Everyone thinks he has the plague anyway - actually might be the only injury he hasn't picked up yet.
Reading between the lines, this is the first time that money seems to be at the forefront of a manager's mind /anger issues. Hope they end up signing Giroud, Drinkwater and Barkley. One tit for another.

If it did [sign Bale] I think you should just give Manchester United the trophy now.
“It won’t be to do with anyone else because Gareth Bale is that good.
“He would rip the Premier League apart if he came here.
“I think the way that he plays – in that team – he would be sensational. There are only a few players that can do what he can.
“He is sensational. He is made for the Premier League.”
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I can understand why he might think about running down his contract as a **** you to them, but it's career suicide, he's 29 now he'd be 32 by the time his contract runs out, if he hasn't played for 3 years where is he going to go and what would he be like as a player. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If Madrid were daft enough to have offered the contract, they can honour it

But let's not pretend that he isn't a bellend.
