Tbf it’s great to be even in this position, even if we are level on GD we get fourth thanks to that Salah goal in the 3-1 in February.

H2H does not feature at all in PL ranking criteria. Points, Goal Difference, Goals Scored. That is it. If there is still a tie the rules actually say both teams will be awarded the place. Obviously that cannot happen for a CL place so almost certainly would mean that there would need to be a one off match.Originally posted by kingfunk View PostTbf it’s great to be even in this position, even if we are level on GD we get fourth thanks to that Salah goal in the 3-1 in February.Football without Origi is nothing

I'm not sure what the source is. It might be right but I was going off this link that I found last week. I'd hope the PL website is more accurate than the Echo!Originally posted by kingfunk View Posthttps://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.l...e-20610798.amp
This states if GD and goals scored are the same it goes h2h.

“ Premier League rules say if two sides are level after goals scored they will be considered to be tied—but if a determination needs be made for the purposes of deciding the title, European qualification, or relegation, head-to-head record will be used.”

Now imagine that’s the state of play on Sunday (our match vs Palace still in progress) and Leicester have just gone 2-0 up with 20 mins to goOriginally posted by Fuzzy View PostIf we win both our games with just a one goal difference, Leicester would still have to beat Spurs with a three goal difference... I can't really see that happen.
I can, however, see us ****ing it up against Burnley or Palace quite easily
****in Hodgson and his retirement game.

that is only a plus if he rattles in a few goals..... if he is shooting from 40 yards when he could slip in a teammate for an easier chance, then it's not too clever.Originally posted by S-RED View Postso after a season of seeing us miss chance, after chance, after chance; potentially we are in a last day shootout............ Great.
Only plus side is that 'all about me' Kane will be desperate for the golden boot
Leicester could beat Spurs 3-0. They could also lose 3-0. It has to be a good thing for us that spurs still have something to play for.....so hopefully they win tonight too
