There are so many factors that determine who makes it and who doesn't, luck, timing, injury etc, the right or wrong loan move can also make or break you. Had Morton not been out on loan chances are one of Clark or McConnell probably would've had their chances this season, but that may have pushed them ahead of him in the pecking order, who knows what could happen to any of them...The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Kids couldn't get a game at Everton because Jelevic was taking up the starting spot. Mind you, he was better than Suarez.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostFootball without Origi is nothing

They were always obsessed with comparing their youth pospects to ours A mate of mine growing up was a blue and I remember him having an Everton magazine which had an article with a headline along the lines of 'Danny Cadamarteri vs Michael Owen, why the Everton man will be the bigger star'The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

yeah, he could ****ing play !Originally posted by frank the tank View PostThat was the case in the reserves / u21s at the time. He was electric. And could have been a star.
Some players are like that. Awesome at underage level and a cunt hair away from being a worldie. But the final step is the largest. We have had loads and loads of players like that over the years. Ibe is definitely one. Musialowski was going to be a star about 3 or 4 years ago and only made his debut as a sub the other night (long after the tie was over..... In reality it could have been a sympathy debut and he could leave soon)
Pacheco was another player who i was sure would be brilliant for us. He might have made it in a big way had he stayed in Spain.
Le Tallac was another. But there are loads.... Jerome Sinclair, Ngoo..... The list is long.
Then these guys also have a small window too to make it..... a serious injury at the wrong time and you're ****ed..... Because you weren't in the first team, and now someone else is there to take your place being developed. Bajcetic might end up being lucky that he played so much last season because he is now in the squad. But in reality, he could be ****ed now because Jurgen is leaving. If the new manager wants another midfielder, then he could be like 8th or 9th choice and may as well end up going on loan. Had he not been injured this season, he could have ended up being our first choice #6 by now.
Elliott too..... Had he had his leg breaker 9 months previously, then who knows (although his talent is awesome)
Wayne Harrison was the one that was going to be a worldie. Most don't even know who he wasLast edited by Deano; 16-03-24, 10:49 PM.I make no apologies, this is me

I can't remember who it was, someone so insignificant I've forgotten by now, but best one was when they compared one of their bang average no marks to Suarez. And their player was better when you looked at it closely. In their eyes. Lol.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostThey were always obsessed with comparing their youth pospects to ours A mate of mine growing up was a blue and I remember him having an Everton magazine which had an article with a headline along the lines of 'Danny Cadamarteri vs Michael Owen, why the Everton man will be the bigger star'
EDIT://Read up. Quiite possible I subconciously saw Suarez out of corner of my eye and got inspired
