Some cunt on that forum is calle St Pauli Support.

A more contradictory pairing in world football could not be achieved. What St Pauli stand for and the spending of Man City is night and day.

No, it's getting your supporters' coach bricked that offends me. It's getting your players' coach trashed (and no-one whatsoever arrested by Merseyside police). It's phrases like "This means more" which is symptomatic of a level of arrogance that even our quiet neighbours the rags don't quite aspire to. It's the hysterical cult-like tone that is required on RAWK, and the likes of which I honestly do not see on any other forum. It's the (mainly justified) anger about Hillsborough, and the deafening silence about Heysel that offends me.
Almost worth joining to point out that he forgot to mention the coach that Man City fans bricked.

The thing is, it's not really about any of those things.

It is about the fact that we are doing better than them at the moment.

The rest is just trying to post-rationalise a reason why it isn't fair.

They can't teach us anything new here at all, because we have been there for decades. We wrote the book on feeling the injustices. We've watched and moaned about SAF's Don like influence, Abramovich's billions, Citys billionaire owners and the human rights abuses, FFP.

We don't really talk about any of it now. Because right now we are winning.

          It sucks to be bitter.

I dont get why they arent still enjoying the fact that they have won so much recently and focusing on getting back to the top.

I think it's because they thought that their money would buy them domination of English football for years like we had in the 70's and 80's or Man Utd had in the 90's. In the 10 years of chucking money around they have won 4 league titles, 2 FA cups and no European Cups. After getting Guardiola I think they thought they would win the title every year (Celtic style) and a few European Cups. For the few years when they were winning the league they thought that it was just a matter of time until they won the CL, but when it didn't happen and we won it they convinced themselves that the reason was UEFA and the 'cartel' were all out to get them, but they had solace in the PL titles, since we have taken that away from them they have realised that they aren't untouchable and it hurts like hell.

I think that they don't just want to win stuff they want to be seen as the best ever which is why you hear all the moaning about not getting the credit they deserve, for 100 points, the quadruple, not getting the PFA awards etc. They think that these things will put them up there with us and Man Utd as the most successful clubs in the country, but they don't realise that the whinging about all this just highlights the fact that they are small time and the money allows them to punch above their weight.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                Yeah, good post, and points.

It’s funny, I thought I’d be massively bothered by us not getting the 101 points, but winning the League was the important thing, and it was a dominant win. It wouldn’t have felt any better with 1 or 2 more points.

I think deep down they hate the fact that they’ve been bank rolled. And if they can’t console themselves with the dominance that you slide to then it all seems a bit pointless for them.

                Strange club for sure.

Not vitriolic, but this (from Red Cafe's Thiago Alcantara thread) tickled me.

Feck world class players and feck world class managers. We have James, plays for the shirt. Giggs recommended him you know. We have Lingard, loves the club and gets his siblings ready for school. Does Thiago get his siblings ready for school? Thought not.

We have Ole who once scored a goal for us. We don't need no world class. We're United

Does that **** realise that Thiago's sibling is Rafinha (A full Brazil international) and probably doesn't need assistance getting ready for school.

Exactly. To be fair, whenever I've peeped in at RedCafe, they seem pretty sound. Biased, naturally, but they seem to know what they're talking about and have grudging respect for other teams where it's due. By contrast, Bluemoon is like some kind of psychiatric ward intranet.

Definitely was, that was my attempt at humour too. Obviously failed pretty badly!
