Not a fan forum thing but just an observation...

It's incredible on my Twitter feed how almost all of the sound Man United fans I follow are all losing interest in the game and none of them tweet about football any more. There'll be games on and they're tweeting about Bake Off

Also, just had a meeting with a guy I work for....an absolutely *rabid* City fan who never stopped talking about City when they were winning everything. He said, and I quote, "I'm losing interest in the game now, the game's a joke. Not the same with no fans and the rules are a shambles, it's not football any more. No interest in it."

Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I was much the same for the middle part of the past decade.
        Oh I don't know.

The only time I ever really felt that way was during the Hodgson era . Actually dreading watching every game.

Same, although I was fuelled by a kind of anger and loathing of the man and that kept me going.

It got to the point for me during those years that our league season was practically over by mid-September, as far as challenging for the title was concerned, So I just gave up emotionally.

It happened in Rodgers last season and Klopp's first couple of seasons too.

Of course, I still watched the games out obligation. I just wanted that element frustration out of my life though. It's not healthy.

Yes, it started when van Gaal took over. Plenty of them said that they found it hard to watch 'boring, slow, possession' football. I'm sure it must look pretty good to them now.

Hodgson was a hard watch. Even when Kenny was managing and we had Downing and Carroll starting almost every week. The fall from grace was so fast, in two seasons we had gone from one of the best in Europe to a laughing stock with Konchesky and Poulsen.

I'd be lying to say that I have the same lust for football that I had before - I'm finding things a bit tedious with a million fouls called per game, players rolling around on the floor like they need legs amputated every few minutes and VAR slowing everything down. However, it's impossible not to love what Klopp is doing and how we're playing. As a football fan (from a non-Liverpool perspective) there are plenty of reasons to enjoy watching too.

I think the Hodgson era and when Brendan went to **** I was saying a lot of this sort of thing

But we had a reason FFS 30 years of waiting and was literally starting to look like it might not happen. Chucking it (or pretending to) when you win as recently as 2 seasons ago or had decades of dominance is lame.

                        Suck it up losers!

You weren't alone. For a spell on here match threads were a competition to see who can come up with the most tedious excuse not to watch a game.

                          ****ing glory hunters.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Surely it makes no difference to them
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We're cheating FFP by selling our players for decent money seems to be the gist of it

I like that the rare voices of reason are accused of being Liverpool fans.
