It is easy to say that because it's the truth. Like all rich and famous people, it's great that some of them do these things, really genuinely commendable. But that also doesn't change the fact that there is a certain privilege that allows them too.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

Yes he has that certain privilege now, but hearing about his background, not being able to afford books and not/barely having enough money for food and heat etc. He has been at the other end too, clearly he is doing what he is doing because he cares and because of that. I imagine there are loads of kids in the position he was in growing say if they got rich they would do something about it, he has followed through on it. Loads of other rich people could do it and while some of them are many aren't so he deserves huge credit for it.Originally posted by Corndog View PostIt is easy to say that because it's the truth. The fact he is using that privilege as he is doing speaks volumes about him though. Plenty of others have as much and more privilege than him and do not do a fraction of what he has done and is strying to do.
He strikes me as the sort that even if he did not have the platform he has now, that he would still have found a way to get involved in some way to help others.
He is just lucky enough to be a wealthy footballer and as such can use that extra wealth and publicty to do even more good than if he was Joe Public.
Would also say that those who have been helped thanks to the actions of Rashford are lucky that a lad like him became a wealthy footballer and not someone a lot more selfish that was less self aware.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Rashford is a hugely impressive person in my eyes.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

How does that work then? Is he £4m in debt because of his generosity?Originally posted by Roboklopp View PostThat charity index thing has him on 125% - given away more than he’s worth (£20m ish). Aye he wouldn’t be in a position to do so otherwise but that’s just begrudging him his success.
Hendo’s given away about £4m of £20m or summat

Absolutely he deserves credit for it. He doesn't have to do anything. There's nothing wrong with using that privilege for this sort of thing at allY.N.W.A!!!!!!

Yes agree with all that, I don't think there's anything wrong with him using his privilege for this. My point was merely that it exists, it's not a bad thing.
