I think he's been ordinary, even for the goal his reaction to the movement of the forward was slow....ended up having to slide in a weak clearance that led to the shot etc

Doesn't help having Simon either behind him. Unless it's a shot straight at him or a couple feet either side, he's nervous

One of Spain's problems is that up until the goal they'd had so much possession. I think you leave yourself open to the sucker-punch sometimes, as we've seen domestically a few times. Thought he was ok though. Which I suppose is ordinary!

He was until there was the chance of a few international caps


To be fair, he was born in France sure, but a lot of his football youth was spent in Spain. Think the Spanish were on his case for while,

Born there. He’s from French Basque Country with Spanish roots anyway and has been playing in Spain since he was a youth.

Think the Italians look the more tired.....Spanish passing, especially in the first half might have taken its toll

Second half has been great. This whole has been like youth team football, much better when they tire a bit!

Morata's runs has been giving the midfield options since he's come on.
