Kudos to the ref and all the other players for reacting. And it was really emotional to watch as his teammates formed a barrier to enable the paramedics to administer CPR. You could vaguely see what was going on.

The players of both teams were in tears. The support from both teams were also in tears.


Then you became aware of a woman with an Eriksen shirt stood pitchside. His wife. Who was being comforted by other players.

I’ve no ****ing idea how they can consider playing out the rest of the game after that.

The cameras stayed on the pitch and in the stadium for an astonishing amount of time before going to the studio.

It was morbidly fascinating to see, but yeah, ultimately not really appropriate.

The Denmark pen, it’s being described as controversial, but for me it was pretty clearly a penalty. Some views didn’t show the contact clearly, but the knee down on the foot was an actual foul. Guy made a meal of it, which seems distasteful in the circumstances, but the award was fair enough imo

The Euro's have been poor full stop so far, some of the teams are awful.

The quality of player nowadays is really poor compared to what is used to be.

Really not a fan of this "the defender played at it" rule, meaning the opposition player who was a couple of yards offside now gains an advantage...it's still the same phase of play, he was offside when the pass was made, so offside he should be.

Players are always told to play to the whistle so no way you can let the ball go to get the offside decision because even with VAR its no certainty it will be given. Forcing the defender to play the ball makes you active in the play and the officials should be blowing for offside.

36 group games to reduce 24 teams to 16. Absolute farce. 4 out of the 6 teams finishing 3rd will go through. Going to be some absolute dross in the knockouts.
