Very few English players end up in other leagues, and how often are the best players picked through the award systems English, given how many play in the english leagues. And if you look at the English premiership, how many of the best players are actually English at team level? Not enough I would say. Maybe this is our level.

You could argue in terms of WC performance Southgate almost cracked it too, the semi final made him England's (joint) second most successful manager in a WC

... I mean the team still played ****e and were rather lucky in that WC but still

Primarily, they don’t end up in other leagues because the PL has the most money and clubs in England pay a premium for them in wages. They can earn more in the championship then in most top leagues in Europe.
