The irony is that it’s proper Streisand effect. Way more publicity for Coca-Cola by Ronaldo doing that than if he’d not. I understand why UEFA has said they will dish out fines but I hope the players start to think about the brands that they stand in front of, and continue to speak out.

Having been to the last two Euros following Ireland I love seeing this - nothing beats the build up to a big game......the hope, the banter, the singing, the day, the journey to the ground, the booze, the atmosphere........ we got thumped when I saw it but loved it nonetheless

No point missed. We l know they don’t give a **** about the fans but that’s the point really isn’t it ? It’s a business anyone not seeing that and thinking they’re going to be there for the “good of the fans” is wishing for a reality that doesn’t exist.
