If Portugal lose v France tomorrow then the only way they go through is if Slovakia beat Spain. Will also mean that England have to play Germany in the next round.

Worst Spanish side ive ever seen. How we can go from having an absolute dearth of world class forwards for the last 25 years +, to now having zero. Its an utter disgrace. Morata is so so so ****. Moreno isn't much better despite his form for Villareal and the rest.....meh!

Also no crafty AM's anymore. They're all plodding Atletico Madrid DCMs that just knock the ball around sideways and cant shoot.

The most dangerous player is Alba FFS. Jesus, we're Scotland! Our best player is the ****ing LB, our midfield do nothing and our strikers cant finish!

Yeah, I think there are some signs for us to be positive. This has probably given interest in the national team for the first time in 10-12 years when we almost qualified a few times.

Mad though it seems, given his one cap, 20 years and lack of experience, but we really missed Gilmour. What he brought to the team V England we didn’t have last night and that was ball retention.

All day I was reminding myself of the class players that Croatia had and that they got to the World Cup final three years ago. And that proved to be the case.

They could be a very dangerous opponent in the knockouts.

We had moments vs the Czechs played well v’s a pretty poor England and we’re beaten by a much better team tonight.

McTominay, Teirney, Robertson, McGinn, Gilmour and Adams are the start of a decent team.

But we have some average SPL and Chanpionship cloggers making up the numbers.

That we missed Gilmour with one cap is quite telling. But. We lacked what he gave us. Ball retention.
