But the pressure pen is the fifth. You can afford to miss the first. You cannot afford to miss the fifth. I think the fact that Maguire (good pen tbf) And Saka are taking pens ahead of Sterling etc shows that confidence was low.

Mad really. TBH. In retrospect. England were doomed when it went to pens.

But when Pickford saved from Jorginho, which is a huge achievement. I thought, ‘****ing hell’.

Then when I saw Saka walk up next I knew the game was gone for England. I can’t imagine experienced players being happy watching such a young inexperienced player taking a clutch pen.

What is the English obsession of doing that? I've never gotten it, so disrespectful. They so proud of themselves too. Foden in the CL final was hilarious. At the last rugby world cup too. In contrast with a (much better) All Black side all happily displaying their 3rd place medals.
