Re the Bluemoon match thread.

Fist post about the equaliser was the first post on page 176. pre match and 89 minutes 175 pages.

Then 152 pages of rage for injury time and extra time.

I don’t think Madrid were outplayed today. Far from it. City never had the control that supposedly had them coasting in the game. Goal gave them a cushion, that’s all, but as soon as Madrid upped the tempo and went for it, they were toast.

Why would they wait to ‘up the tempo’ to the 90th minute? They flung two balls into the box that City couldn’t deal with and that got them extra time. Then the momentum was all theirs.

City took their eye off the ball made subs because they thought they were through and blew it.

Real didn’t have a single shot on target until the first goal. As Dan says they look uncomfortable against a high press. They are obviously a dangerous team. They can obviously win it, but that result tonight was a freak.

I’m 100% happy whatever happens in the final that it will be versus Real. A final vs City would be torture.

Madrid have largely been second best vs everyone they've faced in the knock out stages. Bar the combined time it took them to score all those goals.

It wasn’t a one sided game, but city had the chance to score a lot of goals, which Madrid didn’t in normal time. Same pattern as first leg, city need five times as many chances as Madrid to score the same number of goals.
