New rules this season, contact is not enough. Officials need to decide whether the fall is genuine. That wasn’t imo. Ronaldo had a few penalties, rightly, ruled out earlier in the season for something similar so there is no consistency.

Yeah it was but I think if you’re trying to dribble it around the 6 yard box, it’s fair enough that defenders won’t make it easy and there might be some sort of impairment.
It would have been a penalty any other season, no doubt, but the new directives are specifically trying to cut out any simulation.
