I think they’re ****ed - just looked at the table and it’s hard to see them buying their way out if this in the Jan window. If they manage to buy big names they’ll not play in the championship and they’d be left having to loan them and pay their wages next season.

V tricky situation - maybe they accept their lot, keep their powder dry, focus on getting the structure right above Howe and buy players that will stay with them if they go down.......

They have a difficult run of games now that will probably determine their fate (Leicester, Burnley, US, City, Everton, Utd). A couple of results there and they'd be off the bottom going into the window, but without some wins soon they'll looked condemned.

When did they start halting games for this? I've seen dozens over the years at various grounds, including one that looked like a cardiac arrest earlier this season on the Kop, and the game has never been stopped. Usually those nearby scream at a steward or a copper and the paramedics come and sort them out while the game goes on.

Obviously I hope that they're OK and recover well etc. it just seems a new development for the players to go off. Given there's probably at least one a season at every ground (on average) that's a lot of games that will be disrupted.

When they started giving a **** about safe access for medics? What if a goal was scored and the celebrations prevented medical aid being given?

Not knocking that at all. But like I said - it happened earlier this season. 4 rows in front of me. Block 206. Game went on while the medics treated him. As it has whenever I've seen it happen.

Just wondered if it's a new directive, as it seems to be happening more and more elsewhere.
