Would have been booked if he was still Irish

Yep. With Saka still out it's all on the one trick Nwaneri's shoulders then.

Or there's always dwarf bread (Sterling).

Saliba and Gabriel looked terrified out there last night, despite their team having almost 70% of the ball

Showed 1) how good Isak is of course, but 2) how protected they usually are in a more conservative Arsenal set up, when they are not chasing 2 goals

Also made a mockery of the regular comparisons of Saliba and VVD / Konate, as Liverpool centre backs under Klopp (and to a lesser extent under Slot) are a lot more exposed than the Arsenal ones

To be fair to Saliba in particular, he is still a very young centre back given he is only 23 (24 this year). He is an excellent centre back imo, but for his age he is a brilliant one.

To put Saliba's age, and how far along he is in his development, into context, our own Quansah is 22.

And Konate is 25...who would you rather have in the team, Saliba or Konate?

Was a little bit concerned about Arsenal post-city but **** me they were awful last night.

Isak had they CBs on toast but up front they are woeful, i'd be concerned about continuing a run if i were an Arsenal fan.

Be nice if we could get something out of the Everton game...obviously a win would be amazing, going 9 points clear, but given the nature of the Derby, their "resurgence" under Moyes, I think if we walked away with a draw I would be happy. That one extra point gives us that little buffer, allows us 2 **** ups without fear of being caught.

                          Fully fit?

Konate, but the gap between them is not huge imo. Saliba seems the more durable/less injury prone of the two by a distance though.

Think a Konate/Saliba pairing would be a nightmare for defenders to go against. Both of them are very intelligent players who read the game very well imo, plus both are blessed with the sort of physical attributes that only elite athletes have.

Seems to be some sort of conveyor belt of quality centre backs in France.

Most be a couple decades now of top level CBs coming from there that could play in any league.

Is Saliba only 24??? I thought he was late 20s at least

Isak is such a classy operator & they work like dogs behind him. Gordon & Murphy are having fantastic seasons aswell. Awkward side Newcastle, very physical, extreme press & have some good around the pitch. They will beat Spurs imo if that's the final.

Still 23, does not turn 24 until next month so a tiny bit younger again.
