Some finish but too little too late. A really bizarre, pedestrian performance from Bayern. This record breaking forward line massively under performed. Some very odd decisions from the ref too.

I’d say it shows how good PSG were defensively. They got the early goal and played counterattacking football and never looked in trouble and should have scored more.
They are such a well rounded team who are relentless and so well organised. The final will be interesting but PSG look by far the better team and can handle the physicality Arsenal will through at them.

Ah they were much better than Bayern over both legs. The pace around the entire squad is incredible, they've got to be the quickest side I've ever seen and couple that with extreme desire and work rate. Phenomenal side, so well balanced and looking like they'll dominate for years. Arsenal set piece and holding on for dear life is the only way they ll get something. I just can't see them dealing with PSG.Originally posted by peterbread View PostI’d say it shows how good PSG were defensively. I’m not sure they’ll murder them, Arsenal will not play open like Bayern and will be a huge threat in set pieces vs a “small” PSG side. I expect PSG to win though, Kwara vs Ben White.Originally posted by SB View PostYeah PSG should murder Arsenal in the final. They really are a joy to watch. Watching the match this morning really reminded me how far we’ve fallen this season.

Arsenal will be 100% relying on set pieces as per usual, nick a goal and maybe see it out but that PSG pace and the talent is undeniable. PSG early goal and Arsenal might be in trouble. For the sake of football, Arsenal cannot win, anti football and a toxic culture set by Arteta. I can't see anything other than a PSG win & them dominating European football for years. The scary thing is all these world class players are still on young.

Ref and VAR were completely right on that if you meant the one where his own player kicked the ball and it hit his arm in the box. Is in the rules.
A handball offence is not committed when a player:
- heads, kicks or plays the ball with another part of their body and it then hits their own hand/arm (unless the ball goes directly into the opponents’ goal or the player scores immediately afterwards)
- falls and the ball hits their supporting arm, which is between their body and the ground (unless the ball goes directly into the opponents’ goal or the player scores immediately afterwards, in which case a direct free kick is awarded to the other team)
- is hit on the hand/arm by the ball which has been played by a team-mate (unless the ball goes directly into the opponents’ goal or the player scores immediately afterwards, in which case a direct free kick is awarded to the other team)
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

You are not alone!Originally posted by Sus View PostI've followed this game since I was 5 years old and never heard of this rule until last night
It seems a bit daft, does that mean if a City player had been in a position to handle Guehi’s woeful back pass and stop Barry scoring that would have been fine??? Surely that’s a DOGSO?We are here for a good time not a long time....

I'm talking about clearance in the PSG/Bayern game that hit a player from the same team on the arm

I get that. I was just trying to highlight that the way it is written it could be interpreted that a defender can handle a back pass by a team mate and nothing would be done about it. That’s why I said it was daft.Originally posted by Doc_Piptorious View PostI'm talking about clearance in the PSG/Bayern game that hit a player from the same team on the arm

The combination of that nonsense handball outcome and the nonsense handball in the first leg leave a sour taste for many. Penalties and “fouls” in the box needs a major overhaul, there are relatively few given where the offence warrants an approximately 80% chance of a goal as compensation. The number given per game has also got out of control.Last edited by Kenneth; 07-05-26, 08:07 PM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Yep. The risk v reward literally encourages cheating.
Remove pens as the reward.
The hand ball / pen rule was surely initially instilled to separate out field players from goalkeepers.
Give indirect fks to all but deliberate hand ball attempting to stop the ball from being a goal - ie from crossing the line.
Give red card no penalty for foul again except for foul stopping deliberate chance of goal. Give indirect fks for everything borderline or soft.
Give zero ****s what people think until the rule has bedded in for a few years.
A penalty (and likely a goal) for a ****ing cross accidentally deflecting onto someone’s arm is ridiculous.
The game needs to return to goals by skill not goals but deceit or by virtue of some lame rule.Modifying post.
