Haha he’s such a bellend. You lose credibility when you complain about referees/var/refereeing standards after your team is on the receiving end of a debatable decision- just come across as a bitter sore loser (but a loser, none the less)
After our one at spurs, all managers had the chance to say hey we need to make some changes to this- push for being able to hear the audio, or maybe have a challenge system or whatever. The goal today was debatable- I thought the ball was out, but I guess it wasn’t the best angle to judge- after that I think they were right to award to goal (under their guidelines that they only overrule clear and obvious errors (which I think is a stupid rule)). Our one was a clear cock up- not debatable at all. How can you go from saying we need to accept that there’s mistakes then, to now saying it’s a disgrace, embarasing, etc etc, just because it’s affecting him. JokerI don't tip

Ultimate hypocrisy from smeghead. Hopefully, they’ll help him to be understanding and supportive with their usual heavy fine and this time around a touchline ban for a few gamesOriginally posted by Mr Pink View PostHaha he’s such a bellend. ****ing tribal bull**** doesn’t allow for fans or opposition management to see the big picture. What happened to us should’ve been the opportunity to drive change but they didn’t take it. Klopp didn’t say a fraction of what Lego head is saying and now we laugh at him and say well you said nothing when you had the chance when we were ****ed. Vs Spurs was the worst I ever saw, this wasn’t even close.
Around and around we go

The mess that was the Spurs game was a massive opportunity missed and whilst there’s the “I’m alright Jack” attitude the issues will continue.
I didn’t think officiating could get worse but this season has probably been the worst I can remember and not just for us.

Yeah I mentioned after the Spurs game the biggest barrier to anything getting done was the tribalism. I can understand Arteta's frustration, because there were 3 things that VAR had to look at, (was the ball out? was it a foul?, was it offside?) in the incident. The foul is subjective, and the way the referee's have been this season you might as well toss a coin, the offside should be definitive and I'm not sure the technology exists to check if the ball is in or out of play so without any definitive evidence it comes down to the call on the foul. Refereeing is a joke in that regard I have some sympathy but the time yo put pressure on was with the **** up in our game at Spurs.
Also it will be interesting to see what punishment Arteta gets for his rant given what happened to VVD for his comment to the ref...The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Just watched the extended highlights of Newcastle v Arsenal.
I'm glad Newcastle beat Arsenal. I also think Arteta is a prick. But so much about that Newcastle goal (and especially the 4 minute VAR review) felt wrong.
The current state of officiating (including VAR) is unacceptable. And I think Howard Webb (friend of Sky and Manu Utd) should be held accountable.
One other thing - what happened to yellow and red cards for throwing/kicking the ball away, dissent, bad fouls? Is it exclusively a Liverpool thing?Another MASSIVE game

Absolutely on the Webb point, it’s got worse and continuing to do so under his watch however he’s seemingly above any sort of criticism
